Hey there!

We're a team of 6 students in years 12 and 13 from the Tiffin Girls' School in Kingston Upon Thames. We all share the same collective passion for motorsport racing, whether it be for designing the car, managing the finances or using CAD, and we're using this opportunity to speak up about gender equality and women in motorsports. We hope to inspire other young girls to get into engineering and also take part in future F1 in Schools competitions!

We named ourselves after the figure Lilith, who has been referenced in many ancient cultures and religious texts. One of her most notable appearances was in the Alphabet of Ben Sira, where she was depicted as Adam's first wife. After refusing to be subservient to Adam, as she believed in equality, she was cast out of the Garden of Eden, causing her to become associated with demons and harmful spirits. Due to a lack of understanding of health and hygiene, during the Medieval period she was often blamed for high infant mortality rates. We have decided to reclaim her name and redefine her for the world as what she was always meant to be: a symbol of feminist empowerment who defied expectations in a time where women were not seen as equal to men.

Meet the Team

Engineering Team Manager

Oviya Elangco

Oviya was responsible for overseeing the technical development of the car. She led the engineering team to ensure that the car design met competition regulations and standard. She also managed testing and refining the car's performance based on computation simulations. Her key role was involving problem-solving and ensuring smooth collaboration within the team, as well as overcoming challenges. She co-led core meetings ensuring efficient alignment between the engineering and enterprise sides.

Enterprise Team Manager

Ena Vignjevic-Kufta

Ena was responsible for managing the enterprise side and ensure the branding aspect of the team was developed efficiently. She collaborated with Yalana to develop sponsoring proposals and assisted in sponsor discussions. Ena handled the team's overall brand identity leading the research surrounding our team's name of "Lilith Racing" . She also managed budgeting and financial planning to compensate for all possible scenarios, whilst co-leading core meeting and again ensuring effective communication between teams.

Design Engineer

Ishita Gulati

Ishita was responsible for designing and conceptualising the team’s ideas for the car by creating CAD models in Fusion 360 and performing CFD simulations of the car using Ansys Discovery. She applied research-driven principles to guide the design iteration process, ensuring each version of the car undergoes rigorous testing, analysis and suitable refinement. Throughout this iterative process, Ishita continuously improved the design to optimise performance and achieve aerodynamic efficiency. Her knowledge in utilising CAD and CFD software ensures that the team’s car met competitive engineering standards.

Research Engineer & Graphic Designer

Avni Bhardwaj

Avni was responsible for aiding in the design process of the final car through conducting initial research into aerodynamic principles that would impact the design of the final F1 car and following iterative processes to define the final design. Avni oversaw creating the initial orthographic sketches, later undertaken by the Design Engineer to develop 3D Cad prototypes for different elements of the final car design and used her knowledge in both graphic and artistic design and technical CAD skills to aid this section of the project.

Outreach & Events Manager

Yalana Rameshwaran

Yalana was partly responsible for marketing and closely worked with Krisi to finalise social media posts and aid with planning events. However, her primary role centred around ensuring sufficient resources were obtainable. Yalana's work centred around contacting Sponsors, not only for money, but also to ensure any parts or helpful advice could be gathered efficiently. She split her role into two key segments of : time management and financial management, and worked closely with team manager, Ena, to ensure a smoothly functioning team.

Social Media & Marketing Manager

Krisi Mahaldzhiyska

Krisi was responsible for managing the marketing efforts and organising events for the F1 in Schools project. She helped create marketing campaigns, using social media, sponsorship packages, and public relations to raise awareness and attract potential sponsors. In addition, Krisi took on the task of organising events, ensuring they ran smoothly and provided opportunities to engage with sponsors and the wider community. Her work in coordinating these efforts was essential in supporting the team’s overall progress and raising visibility for the project.
